沈(shen)炯(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)(jiong),字礼明(ming),吴(wu)兴(xing)武康人(ren)也。祖(zu)瑀,梁寻阳太守。父续,王府(fu)记室(shi)参军。炯(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)少有(you)隽才,为(wei)(wei)当时所(suo)重。释(shi)褐王国常侍,迁为(wei)(wei)尚(shang)书左民侍郎,出(chu)为(wei)(wei)吴(wu)令(ling)。侯景之(zhi)(zhi)难,吴(wu)郡太守袁君正(zheng)入援京师(shi),以炯(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)监郡。京城(cheng)陷,景将宋子(zi)(zi)(zi)仙(xian)据吴(wu)兴(xing),遣使召(zhao)炯(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)(jiong),委以书记之(zhi)(zhi)任。炯(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)固辞(ci)以疾,子(zi)(zi)(zi)仙(xian)怒,命斩之(zhi)(zhi)。炯(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)解衣将就戮(lu),碍于(yu)路间桑树,乃更(geng)牵(qian)往他所(suo),或遽(ju)救之(zhi)(zhi),仅(jin)而获免。子(zi)(zi)(zi)仙(xian)爱(ai)其才,终(zhong)逼之(zhi)(zhi)令(ling)掌书记。及子(zi)(zi)(zi)仙(xian)为(wei)(wei)王僧辩(bian)(bian)所(suo)败,僧辩(bian)(bian)素(su)闻其名,于(yu)军中购得之(zhi)(zhi),酬(chou)所(suo)获者(zhe)铁钱十万,自是羽檄(xi)军书皆(jie)出(chu)于(yu)炯(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)。及简文(wen)遇害(hai),四方岳牧皆(jie)上表(biao)于(yu)江陵劝(quan)进,僧辩(bian)(bian)令(ling)炯(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)(jiong)制(zhi)表(biao),其文(wen)甚工,当时莫有(you)逮者(zhe)。
高祖南下,与僧辩会于白茅(mao)湾(wan),登坛(tan)设(she)盟(meng),炯为其文(wen)。及侯(hou)(hou)景(jing)东奔(ben)至吴郡,获炯妻虞氏(shi),子(zi)行(xing)简,并(bing)杀之(zhi),炯弟携(xie)其母(mu)逃而获免。侯(hou)(hou)景(jing)平,梁元(yuan)帝(di)愍其妻子(zi)婴戮(lu),特封原乡县侯(hou)(hou),邑(yi)五百(bai)户(hu)。僧辩为司徒,以炯为从事中郎。梁元(yuan)帝(di)征为给事黄门侍郎,领尚书左丞。
荆州陷,为西魏(wei)所(suo)虏,魏(wei)人(ren)(ren)甚礼之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),授炯(jiong)仪(yi)同(tong)三司。炯(jiong)以母老(lao)在东,恒思归(gui)国(guo),恐魏(wei)人(ren)(ren)爱其(qi)文才(cai)而(er)留(liu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),恒闭门却扫,无(wu)(wu)所(suo)交游(you)。时有(you)文章,随即弃(qi)毁,不(bu)令(ling)流布。尝独行经汉武(wu)通(tong)天台,为表奏(zou)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),陈己思归(gui)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)意。其(qi)辞曰:“臣闻乔(qiao)山(shan)虽(sui)掩,鼎湖之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)灵(ling)可祠,有(you)鲁既荒,大庭之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)迹无(wu)(wu)泯。伏惟(wei)陛下降德猗(yi)兰,纂(zuan)灵(ling)豊谷。汉道既登(deng),神(shen)仙可望,射之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)罘于(yu)海浦,礼日观而(er)称功(gong),横(heng)中(zhong)流于(yu)汾河(he),指(zhi)柏梁而(er)高(gao)宴(yan),何(he)其(qi)乐也,岂不(bu)然欤!既而(er)运属上仙,道穷晏驾,甲帐珠帘,一朝零(ling)落(luo),茂陵(ling)(ling)玉碗,宛出人(ren)(ren)间,陵(ling)(ling)云故基,共原(yuan)田而(er)膴々,别风馀址,对陵(ling)(ling)阜(fu)而(er)茫茫,羁旅缧臣,能不(bu)落(luo)泪(lei)!昔(xi)承明既厌(yan),严(yan)助东归(gui),驷马可乘,长(zhang)卿(qing)西返,恭(gong)闻故实,窃有(you)愚心。黍(shu)稷非馨,敢忘徼福。”奏(zou)讫,其(qi)夜炯(jiong)梦(meng)见有(you)宫禁(jin)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)所(suo),兵(bing)卫甚严(yan),炯(jiong)便以情事陈诉,闻有(you)人(ren)(ren)言:“甚不(bu)惜放(fang)卿(qing)还(hai),几时可至(zhi)。”少日,便与王(wang)克等(deng)并获东归(gui)。绍(shao)泰(tai)二年至(zhi)都,除司农(nong)卿(qing),迁御史中(zhong)丞(cheng)。
高祖(zu)受禅,加通直散骑常(chang)侍(shi)(shi),中丞(cheng)如故(gu)。以(yi)母(mu)(mu)老表(biao)请归养(yang),诏不(bu)(bu)(bu)许(xu)。文帝嗣位(wei),又(you)表(biao)曰:“臣(chen)(chen)(chen)(chen)婴生(sheng)不(bu)(bu)(bu)幸,弱冠而孤,母(mu)(mu)子零丁(ding),兄弟相长(zhang)。谨身(shen)为(wei)养(yang),仕不(bu)(bu)(bu)择官,宦成梁(liang)朝(chao)(chao),命存乱(luan)世(shi),冒危履险,百死轻生(sheng),妻息诛(zhu)夷,昆季冥灭,馀(yu)臣(chen)(chen)(chen)(chen)母(mu)(mu)子,得(de)逢兴(xing)(xing)运。臣(chen)(chen)(chen)(chen)母(mu)(mu)妾(qie)(qie)刘(liu),今(jin)年八十有一(yi),臣(chen)(chen)(chen)(chen)叔母(mu)(mu)妾(qie)(qie)丘,七十有五,臣(chen)(chen)(chen)(chen)门弟侄(zhi)故(gu)自(zi)无人(ren),妾(qie)(qie)丘儿(er)孙又(you)久亡泯,两家(jia)侍(shi)(shi)养(yang),馀(yu)臣(chen)(chen)(chen)(chen)一(yi)人(ren)。前帝知臣(chen)(chen)(chen)(chen)之孤茕(qiong),养(yang)臣(chen)(chen)(chen)(chen)以(yi)州里,不(bu)(bu)(bu)欲使(shi)顿居(ju)草莱,又(you)复矜(jin)臣(chen)(chen)(chen)(chen)温清,所以(yi)一(yi)年之内,再(zai)三休(xiu)沐(mu)。臣(chen)(chen)(chen)(chen)之屡披丹款(kuan),频冒宸(chen)鉴,非欲苟违朝(chao)(chao)廷,远离畿辇。一(yi)者(zhe)以(yi)年将六十,汤火(huo)居(ju)心,每跪读家(jia)书,前惧后喜,温枕(zhen)扇(shan)席(xi),无复成童。二者(zhe)职(zhi)居(ju)彝宪,邦之司直,若自(zi)亏身(shen)体,何问(wen)国章?前德(de)绸缪,始许(xu)哀(ai)放,内侍(shi)(shi)近臣(chen)(chen)(chen)(chen),多悉(xi)此旨。正以(yi)选贤与能,广求(qiu)(qiu)明(ming)哲,趑趄(ju)荏苒,未始取才。而上(shang)玄降戾,奄至今(jin)日(ri),德(de)音在耳,坟土遽(ju)乾,悠悠昊天,哀(ai)此罔(wang)极(ji)。兼(jian)臣(chen)(chen)(chen)(chen)私(si)(si)心煎切,弥迫(po)近时(shi)(shi),缕缕之祈,转忘尘触。伏惟陛下睿(rui)哲聪明(ming),嗣兴(xing)(xing)下武,刑于四海,弘(hong)此孝治。寸管求(qiu)(qiu)天,仰归帷(wei)扆(yi),有感(gan)必应,实(shi)望圣明(ming)。特(te)乞霈然申其私(si)(si)礼(li),则王者(zhe)之德(de),覃(tan)及(ji)无方(fang),矧彼翔沈,孰非涵养(yang)。”诏答曰:“省表(biao)具(ju)怀。卿(qing)誉驰咸、雒,情深宛、沛(pei)。日(ri)者(zhe)理切倚闾,言(yan)归异域,复牵时(shi)(shi)役,遂乖(guai)侍(shi)(shi)养(yang)。虽(sui)周生(sheng)之思(si),每欲弃官,《戴礼(li)》垂(chui)文,得(de)遗从(cong)政,前朝(chao)(chao)光宅四海,劬劳万机(ji),以(yi)卿(qing)才为(wei)独步,职(zhi)居(ju)专席(xi),方(fang)深委任(ren),屡屈情礼(li)。朕(zhen)嗣奉洪基,思(si)弘(hong)景业,顾兹(zi)寡(gua)薄,兼(jian)缠哀(ai)疚,实(shi)赖贤哲,同致(zhi)雍熙,岂便释简南(nan)闱,解绂(fu)东路。当令(ling)冯亲入舍(she),荀母(mu)(mu)从(cong)官,用睹朝(chao)(chao)荣,不(bu)(bu)(bu)亏家(jia)礼(li)。寻敕所由(you),相迎尊累,使(shi)卿(qing)公私(si)(si)得(de)所,并无废(fei)也。”
初,高(gao)祖尝称炯宜居王佐,军(jun)国大(da)政(zheng),多预谋谟,文帝(di)又重其才用,欲(yu)宠贵之。会王琳入寇大(da)雷,留(liu)异拥据东境,帝(di)欲(yu)使炯因是立功,乃解中(zhong)丞,加明(ming)威将军(jun),遣还乡(xiang)里,收合徒众。以疾卒于吴中(zhong),时年五十(shi)九(jiu)。文帝(di)闻之,即日举哀,并遣吊祭(ji),赠侍(shi)中(zhong),谥(shi)曰恭子。有(you)集二(er)十(shi)卷(juan)行于世。
虞荔(li),字山(shan)披,会稽馀姚人也。祖权,梁廷尉卿、永(yong)嘉太(tai)守。父检,平北始(shi)兴王谘议参(can)军。荔(li)幼聪敏,有志(zhi)操。年九(jiu)岁,随从伯阐候太(tai)常陆倕,倕问(wen)《五经(jing)》凡有十事,荔(li)随问(wen)辄应,无(wu)有遗失,倕甚(shen)异之。又尝(chang)诣(yi)徵士何胤,时(shi)太(tai)守衡阳王亦造焉(yan),胤言(yan)之于(yu)王,王欲(yu)见(jian)荔(li),荔(li)辞(ci)曰:“未有板(ban)刺(ci),无(wu)容拜谒。”王以(yi)荔(li)有高(gao)尚之志(zhi),雅相(xiang)钦重,还郡,即(ji)辟(pi)为(wei)主簿,荔(li)又辞(ci)以(yi)年小不就。及长,美风仪,博览坟籍,善(shan)属文。释(shi)褐梁西中(zhong)郎行参(can)军,寻(xun)署法(fa)曹外(wai)兵(bing)参(can)军,兼丹阳诏狱正。梁武帝于(yu)城西置(zhi)士林馆,荔(li)乃制碑,奏上,帝命勒(le)之于(yu)馆,仍用(yong)荔(li)为(wei)士林学士。寻(xun)为(wei)司文郎,迁通直(zhi)散骑侍郎,兼中(zhong)书(shu)舍人。时(shi)左(zuo)右之任(ren),多参(can)权轴,内外(wai)机务,互有带掌,唯荔(li)与顾(gu)协淡然靖(jing)退,居(ju)于(yu)西省,但(dan)以(yi)文史见(jian)知,当时(shi)号为(wei)清白。寻(xun)领大著(zhu)作。
及侯景之乱(luan),荔率亲属入台,除镇西谘议参军(jun),舍人如故。台城陷,逃归(gui)乡里。侯景平,元帝征(zheng)为中(zhong)书侍郎(lang),贞阳侯,授(shou)扬州别(bie)驾,并不就(jiu)。
张彪(biao)(biao)之(zhi)据会稽也(ye),荔时在(zai)焉。及文(wen)帝(di)(di)平彪(biao)(biao),高祖遗荔书曰:“丧乱已来,贤哲(zhe)凋散,君(jun)才用有美(mei),声(sheng)(sheng)闻许、洛(luo),当今朝(chao)廷惟新(xin),广求英隽(juan),岂(qi)(qi)可栖迟东土,独善其身?今令兄子将接出都,想必副(fu)朝(chao)廷虚迟也(ye)。”文(wen)帝(di)(di)又与书曰:“君(jun)东南有美(mei),声(sheng)(sheng)誉洽闻,自应翰飞(fei)京许,共康时弊,而削迹(ji)丘园,保兹独善,岂(qi)(qi)使称(cheng)空谷之(zhi)望邪?必愿(yuan)便尔(er)俶装,且为出都之(zhi)计。唯(wei)迟披觏,在(zai)于兹日。”迫切之(zhi)不(bu)得已,乃(nai)应命至(zhi)都。高祖崩,文(wen)帝(di)(di)嗣位,除太(tai)子中(zhong)庶子,仍侍太(tai)子读书。寻领(ling)大(da)著作、东扬扬州二州大(da)中(zhong)正(zheng),庶子如(ru)故。
初(chu),荔母随荔入台,卒(zu)于台内,寻而城陷,情礼不申,由是(shi)终身蔬(shu)食布衣,不听音乐,虽任遇(yu)隆重(zhong),而居止俭素,淡然(ran)无营(ying)。文帝深器之,常引在左(zuo)右(you),朝夕顾(gu)访。荔性沉密,少言论,凡所(suo)献替,莫有(you)见其际者,故不列(lie)于后焉。
时(shi)荔(li)第二弟寄寓于闽(min)中(zhong)(zhong),依陈宝应(ying)(ying),荔(li)每(mei)言之(zhi)辄流涕。文(wen)帝哀而谓曰:“我亦(yi)有弟在远,此情甚切,他人(ren)(ren)岂知。”乃(nai)敕宝应(ying)(ying)求寄,宝应(ying)(ying)终不遣。荔(li)因以感疾(ji),帝数往临(lin)视。令荔(li)将家口(kou)人(ren)(ren)省,荔(li)以禁中(zhong)(zhong)非私居之(zhi)所(suo),乞停城外,文(wen)帝不许,乃(nai)令住于兰台,乘舆再三临(lin)问,手敕中(zhong)(zhong)使(shi),相望于道。又(you)以荔(li)蔬食(shi)积久,非羸疾(ji)所(suo)堪(kan),乃(nai)敕曰:“能敦布素,乃(nai)当为高,卿(qing)年(nian)(nian)事已多(duo),气力稍减(jian),方欲仗委,良须(xu)克(ke)壮,今给卿(qing)鱼肉,不得固从(cong)所(suo)执(zhi)也。”荔(li)终不从(cong)。天嘉二年(nian)(nian)卒(zu),时(shi)年(nian)(nian)五十九(jiu)。文(wen)帝甚伤惜之(zhi),赠侍中(zhong)(zhong),谥曰德(de)子。及丧(sang)柩(jiu)还乡里,上亲出临(lin)送,当时(shi)荣之(zhi)。子世(shi)基(ji)、世(shi)南,并少知名。
寄(ji)字次安(an),少聪(cong)敏。年(nian)数岁,客有(you)造其父者,遇寄(ji)于门,因(yin)嘲之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)曰(yue):“郎(lang)君(jun)姓虞,必(bi)当无智。”寄(ji)应声答(da)曰(yue):“文(wen)字不辨,岂(qi)得非(fei)(fei)愚?”客大(da)惭。入谓其父曰(yue): “此子非(fei)(fei)常人,文(wen)举之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)对不是过也。”及长,好学,善(shan)属文(wen)。性冲(chong)静,有(you)栖遁之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)志(zhi)。弱冠举秀才,对策高第。起家梁(liang)宣城王(wang)国(guo)左常侍。大(da)同中,尝骤雨(yu),殿前(qian)往往有(you)杂(za)色(se)宝(bao)珠(zhu),梁(liang)武观之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)甚(shen)有(you)喜色(se),寄(ji)因(yin)上《瑞雨(yu)颂(song)》。帝谓寄(ji)兄荔曰(yue):“此颂(song)典裁(cai)清(qing)拔,卿家之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)士龙(long)也。将(jiang)如何擢用(yong)?”寄(ji)闻(wen)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),叹曰(yue):“美盛德之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)形容,以申击壤之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)情耳。吾岂(qi)买名求仕者乎?”乃闭门称疾,唯以书籍自(zi)娱。岳(yue)阳王(wang)为会稽太(tai)守,引寄(ji)为行参(can)军,迁记(ji)(ji)室(shi)参(can)军,领(ling)郡五官掾。又转中记(ji)(ji)室(shi),掾如故。在职(zhi)简略烦苛,务(wu)存大(da)体,曹局之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)内,终日(ri)寂然。
侯(hou)景之乱,寄(ji)(ji)随兄荔入台,除镇南湘(xiang)东王谘议(yi)参军(jun),加贞威将军(jun)。京城陷,遁还乡(xiang)里。及张(zhang)彪往临川,强寄(ji)(ji)俱(ju)行,寄(ji)(ji)与彪将郑玮(wei)同舟而(er)载,玮(wei)尝忤(wu)彪意,乃劫寄(ji)(ji)奔于晋(jin)安(an)。时陈宝应(ying)据有闽中,得寄(ji)(ji)甚喜。高祖平(ping)侯(hou)景,寄(ji)(ji)劝(quan)令自(zi)结,宝应(ying)从之,乃遣(qian)使归诚。承圣元年,除和戎将军(jun)、中书侍郎,宝应(ying)爱其(qi)才,托以道阻(zu)不遣(qian)。每欲引寄(ji)(ji)为僚属,委以文(wen)翰,寄(ji)(ji)固(gu)辞,获免。
及宝(bao)(bao)应(ying)结婚(hun)留异(yi),潜(qian)有(you)(you)逆谋,寄(ji)(ji)微(wei)知其意,言(yan)说之(zhi)际,每陈逆顺之(zhi)理,微(wei)以讽谏(jian),宝(bao)(bao)应(ying)辄引说他事以拒之(zhi)。又尝令左右诵《汉(han)书(shu)》,卧而听之(zhi),至蒯通说韩信曰(yue) “相君之(zhi)背(bei),贵不(bu)可言(yan)”,宝(bao)(bao)应(ying)蹶(jue)然(ran)起曰(yue)“可谓智(zhi)士(shi)”。寄(ji)(ji)正色曰(yue):“覆郦(li)骄韩,未足称智(zhi);岂若班彪《王(wang)命(ming)》,识(shi)所(suo)(suo)归(gui)乎?”寄(ji)(ji)知宝(bao)(bao)应(ying)不(bu)可谏(jian),虑祸及己(ji),乃为(wei)居(ju)士(shi)服以拒绝之(zhi)。常居(ju)东山寺(si),伪(wei)称脚(jiao)疾,不(bu)复起,宝(bao)(bao)应(ying)以为(wei)假托,使烧寄(ji)(ji)所(suo)(suo)卧屋,寄(ji)(ji)安(an)卧不(bu)动。亲近将扶寄(ji)(ji)出,寄(ji)(ji)曰(yue):“吾命(ming)有(you)(you)所(suo)(suo)悬(xuan),避欲安(an)往(wang)?”所(suo)(suo)纵火者,旋自救之(zhi)。宝(bao)(bao)应(ying)自此方(fang)信。
及留异(yi)称兵,宝应(ying)资(zi)其部曲,寄乃因(yin)书极谏曰:
东山虞寄(ji)(ji)致(zhi)书于明将(jiang)军(jun)使君(jun)节下:寄(ji)(ji)流离(li)世(shi)故,飘(piao)寓贵乡,将(jiang)军(jun)待以上宾之(zhi)(zhi)礼,申(shen)以国士之(zhi)(zhi)眷,意气所感,何(he)日忘之(zhi)(zhi)。而寄(ji)(ji)沈痼(gu)弥(mi)留(liu)(liu),忄妻阴将(jiang)尽,常(chang)恐卒填沟(gou)壑(he),涓(juan)尘莫报,是以敢布(bu)腹(fu)心,冒陈丹(dan)款,愿将(jiang)军(jun)留(liu)(liu)须臾之(zhi)(zhi)虑,少思察之(zhi)(zhi),则瞑目之(zhi)(zhi)日,所怀(huai)毕矣。
夫安危之(zhi)(zhi)兆,祸福之(zhi)(zhi)机(ji),匪独天时(shi),亦由(you)人事。失之(zhi)(zhi)毫厘,差以千里。是以明智之(zhi)(zhi)士,据重位而不倾,执大节而不失,岂(qi)惑于(yu)浮(fu)辞哉?将军(jun)(jun)(jun)(jun)文武兼资(zi),英(ying)威(wei)不世,往因(yin)多(duo)难(nan),仗剑兴(xing)师,援旗誓众,抗威(wei)千里,岂(qi)不以四郊多(duo)垒(lei),共谋王(wang)室,匡时(shi)报主,宁国庇民(min)乎?此所以五(wu)尺(chi)童子(zi),皆愿荷(he)戟而随将军(jun)(jun)(jun)(jun)者也。及(ji)高祖武皇肇基草昧,初(chu)济(ji)艰(jian)难(nan)。于(yu)时(shi)天下沸腾(teng),民(min)无(wu)定主,豺狼(lang)当(dang)道,鲸鲵横(heng)击,海内(nei)业业,未知所从。将军(jun)(jun)(jun)(jun)运动微之(zhi)(zhi)鉴,折(zhe)从衡之(zhi)(zhi)辩,策(ce)名(ming)委质,自托宗盟(meng),此将军(jun)(jun)(jun)(jun)妙算(suan)远图(tu),发于(yu)衷诚者也。及(ji)主上继业,钦明睿圣,选(xuan)贤与能,群臣(chen)辑(ji)睦,结将军(jun)(jun)(jun)(jun)以维城之(zhi)(zhi)重,崇(chong)将军(jun)(jun)(jun)(jun)以裂(lie)土之(zhi)(zhi)封。岂(qi)非宏谟庙略,推(tui)赤(chi)心(xin)于(yu)物也?屡申明诏,款笃(du)殷勤,君(jun)臣(chen)之(zhi)(zhi)分(fen)定矣,骨肉之(zhi)(zhi)恩深矣。不意(yi)将军(jun)(jun)(jun)(jun)惑于(yu)邪说(shuo),遽生异计,寄所以疾首痛(tong)心(xin),泣尽继之(zhi)(zhi)以血(xue)。万全之(zhi)(zhi)策(ce),窃为将军(jun)(jun)(jun)(jun)惜之(zhi)(zhi)。寄虽疾侵耄及(ji),言无(wu)足采,千虑一得(de)(de),请陈愚算(suan)。愿将军(jun)(jun)(jun)(jun)少戢雷霆,赊其晷刻(ke),使得(de)(de)尽狂瞽之(zhi)(zhi)说(shuo),披肝胆之(zhi)(zhi)诚,则虽死之(zhi)(zhi)日,由(you)生之(zhi)(zhi)年也。

为(wei)将(jiang)军(jun)(jun)(jun)计者,莫若(ruo)不远而(er)复,绝亲留(liu)氏,秦郎、快郎,随遣入质,释甲偃兵(bing),一遵诏(zhao)旨。且朝廷许以(yi)铁(tie)券之要,申(shen)以(yi)白马之盟(meng),朕(zhen)弗食言,誓之宗社。寄闻(wen)明者鉴(jian)未形,智者不再计,此成(cheng)败之效(xiao),将(jiang)军(jun)(jun)(jun)勿疑。吉凶之几,间不容(rong)发。方今籓(fan)维尚少,皇子幼(you)冲,凡(fan)预宗枝,皆蒙宠树(shu)。况以(yi)将(jiang)军(jun)(jun)(jun)之地,将(jiang)军(jun)(jun)(jun)之才,将(jiang)军(jun)(jun)(jun)之名(ming)(ming),将(jiang)军(jun)(jun)(jun)之势,而(er)能克修籓(fan)服,北面称臣,宁与刘泽同年而(er)语其(qi)功业哉?岂不身(shen)与山河等安,名(ming)(ming)与金石相敝?愿加三思,虑之无(wu)忽。
寄气力绵(mian)微,馀(yu)阴无几,感恩怀德,不觉狂(kuang)言,鈇钺之(zhi)(zhi)诛,甘之(zhi)(zhi)如荠。
宝(bao)(bao)应览书大怒。或谓宝(bao)(bao)应曰(yue):“虞公病势渐笃(du),言多错谬。”宝(bao)(bao)应意乃(nai)小释。亦为寄有民望,且优容之。及宝(bao)(bao)应败走,夜(ye)至蒲田,顾(gu)谓其子扞(han)秦曰(yue):“早从虞公计,不至今日(ri)。”扞(han)秦但泣(qi)而已。宝(bao)(bao)应既(ji)擒,凡诸宾(bin)客(ke)微有交涉者,皆伏诛(zhu),唯寄以先(xian)识免祸(huo)。
初,沙门慧(hui)摽(biao)涉猎(lie)有才思,及(ji)宝应起兵(bing),作五言诗(shi)以(yi)(yi)送之,曰(yue):“送马犹临(lin)水(shui),离旗稍引(yin)风(feng)。好看今夜月(yue),当入紫微宫。”宝应得之甚悦。慧(hui)摽(biao)赍以(yi)(yi)示寄(ji)(ji),寄(ji)(ji)一览便止,正(zheng)色无言。摽(biao)退,寄(ji)(ji)谓所(suo)亲曰(yue):“摽(biao)既以(yi)(yi)此始,必以(yi)(yi)此终。”后竟坐是诛。
文(wen)(wen)帝(di)寻敕(chi)都(dou)督章昭达以(yi)(yi)理发遣,令寄(ji)还朝。及(ji)至,即日引见,谓寄(ji)曰:“管宁(ning)无恙?”其慰(wei)劳之(zhi)(zhi)怀若此(ci)。顷(qing)(qing)之(zhi)(zhi),文(wen)(wen)帝(di)谓到仲举(ju)曰:“衡阳王(wang)既(ji)出阁,虽未置(zhi)府僚,然须得一人旦夕(xi)游(you)处,兼(jian)掌书记,宜求(qiu)宿(su)士有(you)行(xing)业者(zhe)。”仲举(ju)未知所(suo)对,文(wen)(wen)帝(di)曰: “吾(wu)自得之(zhi)(zhi)。”乃(nai)手敕(chi)用寄(ji),寄(ji)入谢,文(wen)(wen)帝(di)曰:“所(suo)以(yi)(yi)暂屈(qu)卿游(you)籓者(zhe),非止以(yi)(yi)文(wen)(wen)翰相烦,乃(nai)令以(yi)(yi)师表(biao)相事也。”寻兼(jian)散骑常侍,聘齐,寄(ji)辞老疾,不行(xing),除国子博士。顷(qing)(qing)之(zhi)(zhi),又(you)表(biao)求(qiu)解(jie)职归乡里(li),文(wen)(wen)帝(di)优旨(zhi)报答,许其东还。仍除东扬州(zhou)别驾,寄(ji)又(you)以(yi)(yi)疾辞。高宗即位,征授(shou)扬州(zhou)治中(zhong)及(ji)尚书左丞,并不就(jiu)。乃(nai)除东中(zhong)郎建安王(wang)谘议(yi),加(jia)戎昭将(jiang)军,又(you)辞以(yi)(yi)疾,不任旦夕(xi)陪列(lie)。王(wang)于是特(te)令停(ting)王(wang)府公事,其有(you)疑(yi)议(yi),就(jiu)以(yi)(yi)决之(zhi)(zhi),但朔望(wang)笺修而已。太建八年,加(jia)太中(zhong)大夫,将(jiang)军如故。十一年卒(zu),时年七(qi)十。
寄少笃(du)行,造次必(bi)于仁厚,虽僮竖未尝加以(yi)(yi)声色,至(zhi)于临危执节,则辞气凛然,白刃(ren)不惮也。自流(liu)寓南土,与兄荔隔绝,因感(gan)气病(bing),每(mei)得荔书,气辄奔剧(ju),危殆者数矣。前后所居官,未尝至(zhi)秩满,才期年数月(yue),便自求(qiu)解退。常曰:“知足不辱,吾知足矣。”及谢病(bing)私庭(ting),每(mei)诸(zhu)王为州将,下车必(bi)造门致礼,命释鞭板(ban),以(yi)(yi)几杖侍坐。常出游近(jin)寺,闾里(li)传(chuan)相告语,老幼罗列,望拜道左。或(huo)言誓为约者,但(dan)指寄便不欺(qi),其至(zhi)行所感(gan)如此。所制文笔,遭(zao)乱多不存。
马(ma)枢(shu),字要理,扶风(feng)郿(mei)人也。祖灵庆,齐竟陵(ling)王录事参军。枢(shu)数岁而父母(mu)俱(ju)丧,为其姑所养。六岁,能诵《孝经》、《论(lun)语》、《老子》。及长,博极(ji)经史,尤(you)善佛经及《周易》、《老子》义(yi)。
梁(liang)邵陵(ling)王(wang)纶为(wei)(wei)南徐州刺史,素闻(wen)其(qi)名(ming),引(yin)为(wei)(wei)学(xue)士(shi)。纶时自讲《大品经》,令(ling)枢(shu)讲《维摩(mo)》、《老子(zi)》、《周易》,同日发题,道俗听者(zhe)二千(qian)(qian)人。王(wang)欲极观(guan)优劣,乃(nai)谓众(zhong)曰(yue):“与(yu)马学(xue)士(shi)论义(yi),必使屈伏,不(bu)得空立主客。”于是(shi)数家(jia)学(xue)者(zhe)各(ge)起(qi)问端,枢(shu)乃(nai)依次剖判,开其(qi)宗旨,然后枝分流别,转变无(wu)穷,论者(zhe)拱默听受而已(yi)。纶甚(shen)嘉之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),将(jiang)引(yin)荐于朝廷。寻遇侯(hou)景之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)乱,纶举(ju)兵援(yuan)台,乃(nai)留书二万卷以(yi)(yi)付枢(shu)。枢(shu)肆(si)志(zhi)(zhi)寻览,殆将(jiang)周遍,乃(nai)喟(kui)然叹曰(yue):“吾闻(wen)贵爵位者(zhe)以(yi)(yi)巢、由为(wei)(wei)桎梏,爱山林者(zhe)以(yi)(yi)伊(yi)、吕为(wei)(wei)管库,束名(ming)实则刍(chu)芥(jie)柱(zhu)下之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)言,玩清虚则糠秕席(xi)上(shang)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)说,稽之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)笃(du)论,亦各(ge)从(cong)其(qi)好也(ye)。然支父有(you)让王(wang)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)介,严(yan)子(zi)有(you)傲帝之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)规(gui),千(qian)(qian)载美(mei)谈,所不(bu)废也(ye)。比求(qiu)志(zhi)(zhi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)士(shi),望(wang)途而息(xi)。岂天之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)不(bu)惠高尚,何山林之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)无(wu)闻(wen)甚(shen)乎(hu)?”乃(nai)隐于茅山,有(you)终焉之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)志(zhi)(zhi)。
天嘉(jia)元年,文帝(di)征为度支尚(shang)书(shu),辞(ci)不(bu)应命。时枢(shu)(shu)(shu)亲故并居京(jing)口,每秋冬之(zhi)际(ji),时往游焉(yan)。及(ji)鄱阳王(wang)为南徐州刺史,钦其高尚(shang),鄙不(bu)能致,乃(nai)卑辞(ci)厚意(yi),令使者邀之(zhi),前后(hou)数反,枢(shu)(shu)(shu)固辞(ci)以疾。门人或进曰:“鄱阳王(wang)待(dai)以师友(you),非关爵位,市朝之(zhi)间,何妨静默。”枢(shu)(shu)(shu)不(bu)得已,乃(nai)行。王(wang)别(bie)筑室以处之(zhi),枢(shu)(shu)(shu)恶其崇丽,乃(nai)于(yu)竹林(lin)间自营(ying)茅茨而居焉(yan)。每王(wang)公馈(kui)饷(xiang),辞(ci)不(bu)获已者,率十分受一(yi)。
枢少(shao)属乱(luan)离(li),每所居之处,盗贼不(bu)入,依托者常(chang)数百家。目精洞黄,能视暗中(zhong)物。常(chang)有白燕(yan)一双,巢其庭树,驯狎(xia)纮庑,时集几案,春来秋去,几三(san)(san)十年。太建十三(san)(san)年卒,时年六十。撰《道觉(jue)论》二十卷行于世。
史(shi)臣曰:沈(shen)炯仕(shi)于梁(liang)室,年在知(zhi)命(ming),冀郎署之薄官,止(zhi)邑宰之卑(bei)职,及(ji)下笔盟坛,属辞劝表,激扬旨趣,信文人之伟者欤!虞(yu)荔之献筹沈(shen)密(mi),尽(jin)其诚款,可谓有益明(ming)时矣。
